Ella recuerda la noche que cruzó el Altiplano andino, a 4.000 metros sobre el nivel del mar; una lucha contra el frío intenso y el agotamiento, pero acompañada de una presencia espiritual que vagaba como el viento. Este paisaje entre Bolivia y Chile, con sus montañas nevadas, alpacas salvajes, arroyos cristalinos y desierto, es una de las rutas migratorias más peligrosas de Latinoamérica. The 13-year-old Bárbara leaves the crisis in Venezuela behind and journeys through South America, seeking a better life in Chile. She recalls the night she crossed the Altiplano plateau in the Andes. At 4,000 metres above sea level, she struggled against the biting cold and exhaustion but at the same time felt like she was being accompanied by a spiritual presence that wanders like the wind. This landscape between Bolivia and Chile, with its snow-capped mountains, wild alpacas, crystal-clear streams and parched stretches of desert is one of the most dangerous migration routes in Latin America.
