Durante décadas Hugo Marin desplegó su imaginario en cada rincón de su departamento-taller. Esculturas y pinturas de su creación, tesoros precolombinos, obras de arte popular, sillas, tapices y objetos rescatados de lugares insólitos colmaban su casa. Cada pieza era un fragmento de su memoria, y en su conjunto representaban el punto de vista inquieto y curioso del artista. Hugo creó una relación espiritual con su entorno, y llevó a un extremo el arte de habitar un espacio.
For decades Hugo Marin displayed his imagination in every corner of his studio apartment. Sculptures and paintings of his own creation, pre-Columbian treasures, works of popular art, chairs, tapestries and objects rescued from unusual places filled his home. Each piece was a fragment of his memory, and together they represented the artist’s restless and curious point of view. Hugo created a spiritual relationship with his surroundings, and took the art of inhabiting a space to an extreme.
